So, I am staring at a computer screen that says “First blog post.” Many of you may have already had blogs or may be familiar with how it all works. I feel like my little guy in the pic staring at the water. It’s way over his head. He is afraid. He doesn’t know for sure how the float works or “IF” it will work and that his “sweet Tango” would never let him go in alone. BUT he wants to get in the water!
He was just learning, and we were having a great time. There were moments however that didn’t go well, in the beginning, he was unsure. At first, there was much coaching…” come on, you can do it, jump… When he finally did take the leap, and I caught him, it changed the perspective. His faith was built up, he loved the water and, of course, got a little too brave at moments. I was there making sure it would be okay, making it better, wiping the water out of the eyes, you get the idea and you may have experienced one side or the other with the pool and kids yourself.
Life gives us lots of these opportunities for new experiences. My picture is filled with some of those experiences in my life although just looking you wouldn’t know that, unless you knew my story or my testimony, the things you see in the picture doesn’t mean much. My sweet little friend Madeline says He gives us stories to tell. The stories are about Him and all that He has done for us. They are amazing. They are His story.
This blog is a new experience for me. I have a desire in my heart to share good news from God’s Word. ENCOURAGEMENT for all of us ladies to know that He is there for us. I have already had the negative thoughts, like… “it’s over my head,” “WHY?” “Everyone is already doing these kinds of blogs”… BUT! I want to share and give encouragement and Glorify God more than I am willing to let those negative thoughts stop me this time. So I am jumping in, trusting God to use me. My prayer is to bless, encourage and lift you up as I lift up Him.
Be encouraged, whatever it is you have rolling around your head and heart. There will be moments of insecurity, lots of negativity and fear. BUT taking a leap of faith over all of that will free you to be who He has created you to be and to do what He has created you to do. His Word says we can do all things, that all things are possible with Him. It doesn’t mean we should do everything. BUT when that thing has been rolling around for awhile and hasn’t gone to the wayside, we should take a little step, set that goal and begin to head that direction. Be encouraged there will be someone to wipe the water from our eyes, help us up and show us the way. I am counting on it myself. And yes, there will be those negatives along the way. Those are learning opportunities! The best news is that God is not going to leave us alone, He is a perfect Father. He has told us in His word to take courage and that He will never leave us alone. No matter what new place your at, or time you are about to experience, you are not alone. He is with you. It might be good to just stand up and physically take a leap, spin around and lift your hands up to Him. It’s called doing the FROG…πΈ Fully Relying On God! Physically putting your body into motion, jump in the water. He is faithful and true to keep us (or catch us)!
